Re: the plot: I can't really tell what you picked up and what you didn't, so:

According to what I picked up while also studying (so, take it for what it's worth), Honma was so traumatized by himself his brain in an act of pure preservation repressed everything that happened. When Kamiyama woke up, it triggered *something* in his brain, but since he couldn't remember w/o trauma again, his brain directed him to some made up memories. This happens IRL according to my Sources, you just have to take as given that's Honma's mental constitution.

Apparently they were friends because Kamiyama liked Honma and how straight-forward (IIRC) he was. Honma was apparently jealous of and hated Kamiyama because of how he was Super Popular, but I'm not sure how much of that is the truth and how much is Honma lashing out.

And apparently the fact that his dad is head of the TV station is supposed to make the fact he blatantly uses the TV show to his own ends makes everything okay. ...yeah, idk.

Also, I'm sorry, Kamiyama explains how it wasn't actually revenge but wanting to make their dreams come true that motivated Honma to invite all the guests, but I've forgotten how he made that make sense :/
