Okay, so I'm going to try and get this out before I forget it.

I was in my old house in Balmoral Park in Singapore, sleeping or something and all of a sudden there's an explosion. I look out the window and there's rubble everywhere but no one knows where it came from. Go downtown and there's one floor in some building (WTC? I'v never been so I don't know but it was big) but everything else is okay. And then there's some news about terrorists running across some bridge, like across the arch of the bridge, not the road. Then I'm at some cafe on a river (Canal Cafe) and there's a bridge there, with some dude. And then I see some people running up the bridge and thing, Oh it's those guys. I tell the guy I'm with and we figure out it's the terrorists so we jump in the river to avoid them. But then they start shooting at us and I get hit.

And then I can't remember what happened. REALLY RANDOM.


UGKLJDGDFJ DO NOT WANT TO WORK TODAY. I'm leaving as soon as my classes are over and I'm going to take a well-deserved nap.

Kobayashi Mao and Ichikawa Ebizou (a kabuki/TV actor) have just announced on the news that they are dating with the intent of marriage. I was never in the Sho/Mao camp and that rumor was like 2 years ago, but it would have been cute. Even if her voice does annoy me. It's too cute for a woman of 27.

But he looks like a nice guy (and isn't ancient like I see happening so much these days) in this interview. I wish them the best of luck!

I'm watching and thinking, wtf is inkaku, so I go to my trusty Goo Dictionary and type in いんかく and this is what pops up:


I'm pretty sure that's not the part Jun contributed to Mom's photo. But hot damn, I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

PS. He actually says rinkaku, the outline/profile of her face.

PPS. I love that Sho says something that gets beeped out. Japanese doesn't even have swear words as far as I'm concerned. But you can't say "big dump" on TV (脱糞, dappun). Go figure.

I know the boys in Arashi are not musicians, with the exception of Nino and Sho perhaps. As far as I know, none of them have pursued an instrument seriously. Nino can play the guitar but I wouldn't say he's serious about it. I'm fairly confident he taught himself, which there's nothing with that, my brother did and actually so did most of the guitarists I know. Doesn't lessen their skills any but when I think of Nino, that's not what comes to mind. Just, "Oh, he can play guitar." And Sho took piano lessons as a kid but probably stopped at grade 5 or 6 (in the conservatory) maybe? I don't even know, I'm just speculating.

I find it harder to be impressed by people on the guitar than on the piano or the violin. Like my friend Ariel on the violin: she used to play in an orchestra and has been studying violin since she was a kid. I wish I had some video of her playing; it's amazing.

Anyway, my point is that they aren't musicians, they're not singers, they're idols. But tonight, it was the first time I saw them as proper singers. It was the first time I ever heard them harmonize and after ten years, they should be able to do that easily, if not after one. And it was good!

Anyway, as bland and unremarkable as My Girl is, it's growing on me.

I switched to Google Chrome; so far so good but I'm going to have to get my paid account back to get rid of these fugly ads, especially if I'm going to have US politicians stare at me as I write my blog entries.

And now they're doing some kind of Q&A special tonight with Arashi and EXILE. I wonder if I'll learn anything interesting.

And Jun's hair is :/. But what's new? Srsly, just slick it back and rock the Showa style. It would be so much better.

Tatsuya Ichihashi has been finally been caught. They're transporting him back to Tokyo on the Shinkansen as I write this, they are waiting for the train to arrive at Tokyo station in 15 minutes. He's had his face covered with a jacket so we don't know if it's actually him, or what he even looks like. He was picked up in Osaka, waiting to board a ferry for Okinawa.

I should go to bed. I want to stay up and watch the news, but they won't have anything new to report until tomorrow.

I really hope they caught the right guy so Lindsay's family has some peace of mind. And that he admits his crime and gets the sentence he deserves. What is Japan's punishment for murder?

Today was Johnny's Mail Day at my house.  My anniversary present came: it's smaller than I thought but so cute.  Tickets also came!!  We're on the 3rd baseline and pretty near the back of the dome, but we're halfway up the front block.  It's going to be great!

The guy who killed that Nova teacher 2 years ago is on the news again.  They are saying he's changed his look so many times which is why he hasn't been caught yet.  He's had (or is going to have) surgery so that's making it hard.  I wonder if that's the whole reason.

Smart man. I need to invest in some great power underwear. The rest of the article is here. I think he is one of the artists I would most like to meet. Not only is m-flo amazing and I love Verbal's raps, but he's not even Japanese. People say that BoA was one of the first Korean artists to open the door in 2002 but people always forget that Verbal and m-flo have been rocking out since before 1999.

I want to see more groups like Monkey Majik and Def Tech here in Japan. More (visibly) foreign artists making music in Japanese. There's Jero doin' his Enka and that's great but he's also part Japanese. The only other non-Japanese artist I can think of now, Himeka, was tapped for her appeal to anime fans: not that she can't sing, but I don't really see her getting a big foothold in the Japanese market. And then there's this girl from Britian that I can't even find the words for. If only we could all get famous by posting videos of ourself jumping around our bedrooms. Wouldn't life be grand?

This is like my dream come true. I had hoped for all 5 of them, but it's only Sho and Nino but still. I'M SO GIDDY. They had to do English Brain Tower for the first round and our boys got all their questions right. Arashi fandom is fairly good at ripping shows that the boys guest on, but if you see NepLeague from Oct 19th, let me know! :DDD

SO HAPPYYY. Nino says that Johnny's x quiz shows = grey zone, which is pretty ture. Unless it's their own show. OFF TO WATCH!

This cold is trying to blow up but I'm doing my best to curb it... potions! I ate even though I wasn't hungry and I took a nap so that I can stay up for My Girl. ♥

I've got an email in the mail centre on my phone and the piece of crap is not downloading! I can't get any other mail while it's in there. I don't get why it's not working. :< I have full reception in my house, and I can't imagine anyone sending me something so huge... Hm.

Mariah is on Music Station. Damn! Girl got her boobs done again. Or maybe she's wearing a bra this time. She's put on a big of weight but it looks good! She just needs to stop wearing skin tight stuff. Girl needs to start dressing her age. Bitch is almost 40!

OH MY GOD. Kiss My Foot 2 or whatever they call themselves had the Johnny's costume department VOMIT ALL OVER THEM. (What ever happened to Kiss My Foot 1?) What's with the freaking YMCA indian headdress?! And there's a couple musketeers in there too. On roller skates. Holy christ. It's worse that any KAT-TUN outfit with cutting room floor scraps hot glued all over the place by a blind seamstress. Is this a new debut that I haven't heard of? Not that I could ever get into this group but I haven't heard anything. And I don't think juniors groups go on M.St... though I could be wrong. I think when all the JE groups out there now (Hey! Say! JUMP excluded) retire, I'll be done with Johnny's. But that won't be for years if they all last as long as SMAP.
